Despina Vrionis | Young Learners #1

Hi my name is Despina Vrionis and I'm the Team Leader in the Young Learners #1 Room.

I have worked in the Early Years sector just over 20years. There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not fascinated by children or amazed at how they develop, learn and communicate. I love creating a home, natural play space environment.

My background is of Greek/Pontian heritage. Growing up learning Greek, dancing, food, family and church were the fundamentals.

In 2007 I moved to Melbourne from Sydney and married my husband George. The same year I was fortunate enough to gain a position with GreythornECC. In 2011 George and I moved to Sydney as he wanted to complete seminary studies. Upon completion he was ordained a Deacon in the Greek Orthodox Church. We were transferred to Melbourne and I returned to my GreythornECC family in 2018.

I live in Reservoir with my husband and father in law and our fur baby cat - meow.

I am one of 5 children and the eldest. I love reading, walking and crocheting and not necessarily in that order.
