Shirin Mann

My name is Shirin Mann. We have a two and a half year old currently in the Early Learners Room at GECC and a newborn who will also be attending here when the time comes!

My husband and me were both born and raised in India before we moved to Australia for our university degrees. Besides our home towns in India we’ve lived in Melbourne, Siem Reap (Cambodia) and Canberra so far. We love travelling and have enjoyed stepping out of our comfort zones to explore living life in new cities and meet some amazing people along the way!

Professionally, we both have an accounting background. While my husband works as a financial controller in the hospitality industry, I work in public practice. I have been involved with financial, tax and compliance reporting obligations for not-for-profit entities in the past and I hope I can bring this experience to the table in my role as a committee member.

Our journey with GECC, Michelle and all the educators has been beyond wonderful. They have been extremely patient and understanding with all our child’s needs. I joined the GECC management committee in December 2019 with the hope that I am able to add some value and give back to this community that our family is so proud to be a part of.
