At Greythorn, we take pride in offering exceptional government-funded kindergarten programs for both 3 and 4 year-old children. Our side-by-side classrooms share a vibrant outdoor space, fostering a strong sense of community and seamless transition between the programs.
Our integrated approach encourages social interaction, collaboration, and familiarity among the children, ensuring a smooth progression from the 3-year-old program to the 4-year-old program. This continuity provides a solid foundation for their educational journey, nurturing their growth and development every step of the way.
Our Kindergarten program is designed to provide the same high-quality educational experience as traditional sessional kindergartens, but with added flexibility of hours and dedication to educational excellence.
Both our 3 & 4 year old Kindergarten Programs operate 7am - 6:30pm Monday through to Friday, and remains open for 50 weeks a year, including all school holidays.
This comprehensive schedule caters to diverse family and work situations, ensuring your child receives consistent care and education throughout the year.
In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a range of enriching extracurricular activities, including sport, music and movement, cultural experiences, first aid exposure programs and dental health checks. These engaging activities not only foster your child's physical and creative development but also broaden their horizons and cultivate a love for learning.
We believe in instilling a deep appreciation for the environment from an early age. Our indoor and outdoor programs incorporate sustainable and ecological practices, teaching children the importance of environmental stewardship and encouraging them to develop a connection with nature.

Greythorn's 4 Year Old Kindergarten Program is at the forefront of early childhood education, by providing children with access to two full-time kindergarten teachers. This ensures that children can engage with the program throughout the entire day, rather than being limited to select hours. Our approach aligns with the Victorian Government's vision, as outlined by the Department of Education, to provide extended kindergarten hours for all children by 2032. By offering this enriched experience now, we set the foundation for your child's successful future.
